The above reference, at page 113, lists the serial numbers of 11 Canadian 1911-A1 pistols including one very close to this example SN 935296. A scarce Canadian military pistol that is being offered for sale for the first time since the 1970's. 1941) - The barrel in this gun is marked COLT. All were in the serial range 927000 to 940,000. This piece is a part of a Quebec collection from the 1970's and may have come from the small group of Colts sold by Crown Assets in 1959. All markings are very clear and crisp with a dye skip in the center of the slide inscription.
